Franklin, North Carolina Speed Traps

Anytime you enter Macon County on 441, you better stay the speed limit, they highly patrol this stretch of highway because of tourist.

This trap is on highway 441 leaving franklin and going towards sylva. It ranges from the Franklin Ford dealership to the top of cowee mountain. It is approximately 2 miles long. State trooper will hide on the sides of the road and they are sometimes hard to spot. They normally hangout at the Exxon station near franklin ford while they arent out clocking people. The reason this stretch of highway is perfect for the cops is because there is a paved median, the rest of franklin has mainly grassy medians with big bushes so it makes it hard for them to turn around… but not in this area.

officers are on this street 24/7. during my travels on this street i have been given three tickets for speeding. the last one was for 30 in a 25 speed zone
