Officers parks or hides at bottom of steep hill and as you naturally pickup speed you go over the 25mph limit and you have a nice $240.00 ticket from campus police. Students are out so they have nothing else to do!
On HWY 540 over Hwy 70 in the Westbound lanes
NC SHP is usually located on 540 facing West over interstate 70 near Briar Creek shooting radar/laser at traffic approaching from the rear.
Reedy Creek /Trenton Rd
There is a section of Reedy Creek and Trenton Rd between Edwards Mill and the SAS entrance that is 25MPH limit, which seems slow for that area. RPD are often lurking in different spots along the route. I have seen more than one person pulled over.
I-40 @ Jones Sausage (exit 303)
Police are on the overpass using radar and communicating info to other police to go get ’em.
Hwy 70 Glenwood between Duraleigh and Hwy 540
New area to be changed to 45mph during July 2011. They run all day long east and west. It was 55mph, so they now get unsuspecting drivers.
