Cleveland, Ohio Speed Traps

The speed limit is 60, which is below normal speed for that type of highway. On a recent trip 3/06 coming from the 90 going to 71 south and then coming back from 71 to 90 north, there were 3 traps going south and when we came back we counted at least 6 stops on either side. There were three different types of vehicles (police involved). Since we make that trip once a month and it always has traps on it, it should be noted as a hot spot.

Speed and red light violations are caught on cameras for both east and west bound traffic.

As you come around the bend just before the MLK exit on westbound I-90, you will almost always see a cop shooting with his radar gun. Coming back into Cleveland last night with colleagues at about 10pm, we wondered if it was a "dummy" cop, because he’s always there, and always in the same position, same location. I think the limit is 60 or 65 there. Never been stopped there, but it’s a good trap. Slow down about a half mile before the MLK exit and you’ll be ok.

Cop sits off to the side speed limit is 25 mph. Along side of Jacobs field it’s easy to go 50 mph. The cop sits between Huron Ave. And Carnegie Ave. on Ontario, both sides of the street.
