spring Street near State Route 315
leaving downtown columbus, ohio one moves towards the highway expecting speeds to rise, instead they meet a rather over zealous elderly female motorcycle officer with no sense of humor. everyday this officer is picking off unsuspecting law abiding motorists.
Interstate 71 near Polaris Road
Ohio Troopers have increased their presence on I 71 from Polaris (Noth of Columbus) to downtown. Normally two to three patrol cars in either (not both) direction. OK to do 5-8 over. Will be pulled over at 10 over.
5th ave west arfter james road bridge
due to a recent flurry of accidents, there has been fairly moderate radar and lasar along 5th ave, beware speeders, ive seen cop on foot with lasar on the edge of road, and also one patrol unit hiding down a side street and another chase car, the limit goes from 45 to 35 as you approach town, they have been catching them all week long, keep your eyes open, there mostly in the afternoon rush
US-23 Southbound from Delaware/Lewis Center
There’s a stretch of US-23 that’s pretty unpopulated just south of SR-750 (by Highbanks park and south of it) and the Speed Limit is 45, but most people drive faster. The cops sit on the right side as you are southbound, they sit between the Nissan dealer and Worthington Towing. When they are there, it’s usually 4 or 5 State Highway Patrol cruisers, and 6 or more cops standing around the one guy with the radar gun. This is a MAJOR north/south way in to Columbus, and these cops probably nail every poor soul who doesn’t regularly pass through there.
