Columbus, Ohio Speed Traps

When traveling south on Wilson there is a curve right before you come to the light at Trabue Road. The cops sit at a small drive right before the light and clock you when you come around the curve. The speed limit is 35mph, which is ridiculous for this area b/c there is no residential area with 1/2 mile of where the cop sits.

They aren’t too bad about patrolling/trapping this area during the morning and evening rush hours. I assume because there’s not a lot of room to chase and pull over a car. However during mid day and after work this area is fairly often patrolled. It’s "easy pickings" as they say. People let for a flight etc. END OF THE MONTH is when (and I drove this route everyday for years) the patrolling and trapping severely increases. And they "don’t work on monthly ticket quotas". Be especially careful around the Lenoard Ave overpass and 5th ave exchange. They like to hide in the shadows of the brige supports.

All of Interstate 71 around Columbus and about 45 miles north of columbus is heavily patrolled by OSHP. Be careful.

Multiple Troopers Parked. Speeders are timed by an airplane. Troopers flag speeders down on foot. I am from Michigan, where getting caught for speeding isnt too easy. But dont do it in ohio. I was pulled over here. I had a radar detector. It picked every cop up except the airplane. The officers were rude and very harsh. Do not speed in Ohio!!!
