Interstate I-270 near State Route SR-161

The area of I-270 between SR-161 and Westerville Road. There are always two cruisers and a motorcycle cop. The highway is posted at 55mph yet there hasnt been any construction for 2 months at least. I drive thru there everyday and there is always someone pulled over. I think its wrong to do this because the speedlimit is in a "supposedly" construction zone therefore I believe if you recieve a ticket, it would be a double fine. The City is raking the money in from this area. Be Aware!

Interstate 270 near Easton/Morse Road

This is the 270 Outerbelt on the NE to East side. From Easton, sometimes as far around as E Main St. This area is highly monitored – seems to be mostly in the Gahanna area. It is a very busy section, varying at times from 2 to 5 lanes wide. However, it crosses through a few different jurisdictions. Because those cities have the right to enforce the traffic laws on those sections of 270 that are in their area, you may see police from Gahanna, a County Sheriff, or the State Highway Patrol enforcing speed limits. It is 65 through there, but some people seem to think the 6 is an 8, and they will stop you!

I don’t think there is any unfair ticketing, but it is not uncommon to see half-dozen cruisers within a mile or two stretch of road with cars pulled over. This is common during the PM rush hour, as well as weekends.

Be careful!

US Highway 71 near Exit Number 161

As you are heading South into Columbus on SR 71 there is a speed trap that gets someone almost every day during late afternoon rush hour. I see the police lights almost everyday as I am heading North on 71.
