Westlake, Ohio Speed Traps
Columbia Road near Center Ridge Road
Driving south on Columbia, there is a cementery on the east side of the road, saw a car there the other day. Gray car at night, can see going south bound. Can barely see at night going north bound.
Crocker Boulevard near Lorain Avenue
On Crocker, just north of Lorain Road is an entrance into a subdivision. Crocker has a bend and Westlake Police like to sit back a ways into the neighborhood making it difficult to see them before its too late. I have gotten the gesture to slow down(You know, the hand waving downwards with the evil scowl and the officer mouthing the words "Slow Down"), so they aren’t always out for Blood here. With Crocker Park in full Business now, I would expect the Police activity to pick up all along Crocker. You’ve been warned.
Avon Road near Bradley Road
Coming from Avon the speed limit drops from 35 to 25 as you enter Westlake.
Crocker Boulevard near South of Detroit
The fuzz sit in the cul-de-sac in the bushes and in the drive for the apartments. South of Detroit, North of Hillard.
I-90
The Westlake Police hang out along both east/west bound of I-90 from the Detroit Road Exit to the county line (just west of Crocker/Bassett). If you are not a local you need to be advised that the revenue raising activities are not limited to Westlake, but all communities (Lakewood, Rocky River, Westlake, Avon, etc…) west of Cleveland use I-90 as a cash machine for their cities.
