Enid, Oklahoma Speed Traps
North of Enid on Hwy 81 to the turn towards Pond Creek.
This stretch of road is heavily patrolled by state troopers in both directions, especially after dark. Speed limit is 65mph.
Cleveland just north of the Garriott/Cleveland intersection
I have seen on more than one occasion a marked police car hiding in the alley behind the shopping center that houses Curves, Edward Jones Wings To Go, etc… They sit in the alley between the shopping center and the church just north of the shopping center. There is a pretty high fence between the church and the alley. So when you are driving south on Cleveland they are shooting through/between the fence since you can’t see them. So be careful and drive safely!
Owen Garriott west of attwoods, hiway 64,412
The speed limit changes from 45 to 55 right where EPD sits on the side of the road in a residents yard behind a bunch of shrubs and also OHP likes to sit in the turnaround yes in the middle of the road at nite. from that vantage point they have, it makes them able to catch people coming or going to/from town
East Main at NOC, 23 street to 25 street.
Until this spring semester, there was no flashing lights for this 24 hour school speed zone and the sign was near a tree, going east. You could not see the sign until you even with the last tree. Cops will sit in the dorm parking on the north side corner of Maine and 25th. I was stopped and hired a law firm to fight it, shortly after is when the flashing lights were installed.
On South Gate Rd (Leads to Vance AFB)
The police profile Vance AFB. When leaving the base turning right on Southgate Rd headed towards Van Buren St, they hide under the big tree across from Bula’s Auto detailing or in the mini mart parking lot. When leaving the base turning right, they hide at the corner house of Southgate Rd & Cleveland on the right.
