North York, Ontario Speed Traps

As you are going down the little ramp from Lawrence onto Bayview Northbound, the speed limit changes from 60km to 50km for about 10 seconds. I see cops hidden on the grass beside the stop lights there all the time, and was nailed by them going 90km. Oops.

Trap is located just North of Cummer facing against Southbound traffic on the West side of Willowdale Rd. in a small side street

Westbound on Eglinton Ave., before the Don Valley North on-ramp. Radar is set up pointing at the top of a hill past Victoria Park. At the bottom of the long hill, cops walk out onto the street to pull cars over right before the Don Valley Parkway.

Northbound DVP usually late friday, saturday and sunday nights to catch the clubbing crowd heading home from downtown. It is just past Wynford drive on the left shoulder. There are highway pillars that support the crossing road and they hide behind these pillars until Lawrence Ave. There are 3 sets of pillars, usually the first one is used by OPP because it has a larger space for them to park.

Sheppard Avenue East between Leslie and Buchannon Court (NYGH Old Age Home) They mostly catch people going west down the hill on Sheppard comming from Don Mills. They park on the side of Buchannon Court and you don’t see them until it is too late. I got bit there once and I see them there all the time.
