Hemlock Road at Canadian Forces Base Rockcliffe

Ottawa, OntarioSep 25, 20030 Comments

Military Police hide just over the top of the hill when coming up Hemlock Rd onto the Base. You should be slowing down to 40 KPH as you approach the top of the hill. They are ruthless and "Warning" is not in their vocabulary. They also watch the four-way-Stop intersections. A complete stop at all Stop signs on the base is highly recommended, especially at Hemlock Rd and Polaris.

Conroy Road (Near train tracks and Thunderbird-Go-Karts)

Ottawa, OntarioAug 29, 20030 Comments

Every since a 9 year old girl got killed in a bike to car accident on Conroy Road there has been a significant increase in the speed enforcement on Conroy Road. Southbound, cop cars will hide behind signs on the service road just past the train tracks, or on the access road to the snow dump. During the daytime cop bikes will setup near the firestation. Speed limit is 60km/h, but people regularly drive 80-100km/h on this straight 4 lane road. So watch out!
