Ramsayville Road near Eighth Line

Ottawa, OntarioApr 07, 20080 Comments

I have had 2 tickets here. On Ramsayville Road, the speed limit changes many times from 80 to 70 back to 80, down to 60 and again up to 80. the police often park in a little area on the west side of the road always in the 60km zone. Most times they are at the intersection of 8th line because they can point the radar gun either way. Both roads are 60 at that point. I have seen them there at all times of the day.

Fisher Avenue near Normandy Court

During morning rush hour, a single officer in yellow vest with speed gun is positioned on the sidewalk by the Fisher northbound lanes near Normandy. Traffic usually proceeds at 60 km/h in this 50 km/h zone. I have not seen chase cars, however I have seen the officer step to the middle of the road and point at vehicles after they have passed by.

While driving southward on Main, the trap is on the right, usually just before Smyth Rd bridge and the police are parked on Toronto St.
