Teston Rd. Eastbound between Jane & Keele

Vaughan, OntarioSep 30, 20100 Comments

As you drive eastbound on Teston Rd, after Jane St., the cops are set up at the bottom of the hill on Cranston Park Blvd. This is a sneaky spot as the speed limit goes from 80km/hr before Jane St. to 60km/hr after Jane.

McNaughton Rd. E, Westbound before Keele St.

Vaughan, OntarioSep 30, 20100 Comments

As you drive westbound on McNaughton Rd. E, after the Lowe’s, the cop car is parked just beyond the train tracks, before Keele St. They have a long view of the road, so they see you before you realize they are there.

HWY 427 Northbound at Zenway Dr.

Vaughan, OntarioSep 27, 20100 Comments

Police will often setup radar on the east side of highay 427 a couple hundred feet south of Zenway Dr (the freeway terminus) on most mornings after 7:45AM and again in the afternoon between 3:45PM and 6PM. The speed limit quickly drops from 100km/h to 80km/h just before the highway 7 exit ramp and then to 60km/h as you pass under the highway 7 overpass. There is a slight hill which obscures the presence of any vehicles or radar on the shoulder until you have crested it. Numerous vehicles maintain highway speed as they crest the hill assuring themselves a ticket and possibly a vehicle seizure under the new 50km/h over law.

Highway 407etr Eastbound past Keele Street

Vaughan, OntarioMay 05, 20100 Comments

Once past Keele Street, 407 goes downhill and curves left. On the right-hand side at the bottom of the hill on the curve there is an access to a stormpond. Cruisers sit tucked in behind the tall weeds (sometimes 2-3 cruisers). Advice -once you pass under Keele going east, by the time you reach the second centre median light pole you are in sight of their radar (well before you would notice them) – so beware!
