Phillip St. between University Ave. and Columbia St.

Waterloo, OntarioSep 05, 20120 Comments

When you turn onto Phillip from Columbia, you go past the Sunoco station on the corner, a little further down on that side of the street is a gray warehouse with a small lot in front. The cops park in that lot and usually get people heading north (from University towards Columbia). Limit is 50km/h and the road is pretty rough, but I have seen quite a few people get caught. Usually an unmarked police car (all black) so most people don’t realize until it’s too late.

Erb St. W and Westhaven St.

Waterloo, OntarioSep 05, 20120 Comments

Heading east on Erb from Erbsville Rd. there is a wide four lane section, Westhaven is a side street just before it narrows back to a two lane. The cops hide on Westhaven and get people coming down the hill (west) from the lights where the KW Bilingual School is. Usually there in the afternoon. Limit is 60 km/h but it’s easy to be going faster since the road widens.

University between Erb and Fischer-Hallman

Waterloo, OntarioAug 29, 20120 Comments

There are two service entrances to Westmount golf club along University and they effectively hide the cruiser in the shadows of the trees. The entrance closer to Fischer-Hallman is also checking for people racing and passing in the left turn lane.

Keats Way and Beechwood Dr.

Waterloo, OntarioOct 05, 20100 Comments

On Keats Way driving East from Erbsville Rd. Wide and straight road, limit is 50km/h. There’s a cop that gets people on the slight downhill portion close to Beechwood Dr. He sits on the top of the hill on a side street Thornlea Ct. where there are some large pine trees. Difficult to see him, also usually a fully blacked out car, so you may not notice its a cop until too late.
