Interstate 5 near State Highway 105
On the straight south of 105 & north of the Willamette River the median is densely filled with bushes. A motorcyle cop will sit on the median between the bushes and radar on-coming traffic.
Willamette Street near Oak Street
This speed trap is on Wilamette st when heading north past Civic stadium where Willamette turns right and then left into Oak st. The motorcycle cop sits in the ally in the middle of this transition waiting to catch speeders. Beware!
Timberline Drive near 2800 Block Up
Officers, at times 2, sit on Side street behind bush on Left as you come up hill & issue everyone comming around corner. Also 1 block further up, 2 officers double team from road cut out on left, and issue to everyone, safe speed is 35 posted is 25 afternoons are worst time. Officer doesn’t like radar detectors ‘leagal device’ being used ‘illegaly’
State Highway 105 near Coburg Road
Motorcycle patrols are on both sides of HWY 105 (East & West) between Coburg Road and I-5. They appear to be there mostly in the mornings and mid to late afternoons. Be careful as you cross over I-5 from Springfield, and East bound as you crest the Coburg Road overpass.
Garfield Street near West 13th Street
This is not technically a speed trap, but a trap none the less. A policeman parks on 13th street and waits for those coming up Garfield making a left onto 13th street to swing into the furtherist lane and then tickets them for not turning into the closest lane.
He comes by at least once per month, and rolls the money in.
