28th Street near Chambers Street

Eugene, OregonMar 06, 20060 Comments

Traveling up Chambers, turning left onto 28th Street, coming down the hill, around polk St there is a motorcyle cop on the right, pulling people over for going over 25 mph. This is a through traffic street where the speed should be at least 30 mph. Be careful here, this is a money maker.

30th Avenue near Hilyard Street

Eugene, OregonMar 06, 20060 Comments

I’ve never gotten a ticket here but have seen many others. Coming down 30th from LCC toward hilyard, the cop likes to hide out pulling unwary motorist over for not slowing down quick enough. This is a good one.

Division Avenue near Division Lane

Eugene, OregonFeb 09, 20060 Comments

Right near my work. Commonly patrolled late mornings and early afternooons, almost always motorcycle police officers parked at division pl. around the corner past fred meyer. Speed limit drops from 35 to 30. I’ve seen the same officer go back and forth on my lunch hour pulling people over left and right. I’ve never been cited here but I see a very high number of people getting stopped here.

Crest Drive near Storey Boulevard

Eugene, OregonSep 08, 20050 Comments

Motor officers sit in either a driveway near Storey Blvd, or on the corner at Olive St. just down the hill and use radar to monitor traffic.
It’s probably done on a rotation with other areas. Maybe once or twice a month.
The speed limit is 25 mph, while 35 mph is a reasonable speed.

Interstate 5 near Mile Marker 92-96

Eugene, OregonOct 17, 20041 Comments

The police cars and motorcycles are hidden usually in the median, in between the shrubs, under the overpasses hidden by the cement barriers. I have seen a line up as many as 3 cops at a time to get multiple people. Also, unmarked cars with tinted windows that do pacing. The Eugene, Springfield, Oregon State Police are all located in this very area. A recent ticket for this area was $970.00. I-5 is usually 65mph, but in this area it is 55mph.
