Turner Road near Mission Street
At the intersection of Turner Rd and Mission St. there is a signal. If you are at the NW corner by the Military Department and you want to turn west on to Mission St. there is a turn only lane and a stop sign. Be sure to stop of the 3 second rule. The ticket is a maximum of $350.00 to the person who decided that the light was green they can go also without stopping.
Interstate I-5 near Commercial St. SE Street
Salem Police and Marion County deputies are issuing speeding tickets on the on and off ramps where I-5 and S. Commercial street meet. Posted speed is 55 Seems to be mostly on weekdays, especially during rush hour
Interstate I-5 near Mission Street Exit Street
Construction zone has been in place since early 1970’s without any construction taking place. speed limit drops from 65mph to 50mph. ticket costs are double because of the zone.
Commercial Street near Vista Avenue
Going north on S Commercial, the speed limit changes from 35 mph to 30 at about Ratcliff Dr. There is frequently a radar unit at Vista, one block north of Ratcliff (around the Roth’s Market/gas station parking areas).
