Mossy Oaks Rd & Duncan Dr

I was driving to pick up my kid from Beaufort Middle School. After picking him up I decided to make a U-Turn on Mossy Oaks Rd. in front of the schools to avoid traffic. The cop in an unmarked black car stops me and says there are several No U-Turn signs" posted on Mossy Oaks Rd. in front of the school and proceeds to write me a 4 point violation which costs me $237.50!!! I guess I better get off my cell phone while driving next time I might hit a kid…. "

If your coming from the town of Port Royal and passing the Beaufort Memorial Hospital the speed limit drops from 45 to 35 mph. In the 35 mph zone I’ve seen cars lined up on the side of the road at all hours of the day/night by the marked Beaufort Police cars, including an all black unmarked one. I hear the cops don’t give too many warnings on this road so you’re stuck with a hefty fine and an invitation to court. It’s like blue lights are falling out of the sky!

On SC170 West and East Bound it is a four lane road and out in a rural area, you would think the speed limit should be a little higher but it is only 45 mph and the local cops, including marked Beaufort Police (also an unmarked black car) and Beaufort County marked Chargers, are always working this little stretch having somebody pulled over at all hours of the day/night.

Bay St & North St

Under the old oak tree is where most cops sit, including a new black unmarked one, they look at those that aren’t buckled up at the Bay St/North St. intersection and they also run front/rear radar most times when school is starting and letting out as the speed drops down to a 25 zone…

There is a black unmarked police car that usually sits on day shifts, must be doing paperwork or drinking coffee/eating donuts, in between the used cars that are for sale in the Car Quest Auto Parts Store parking lot. He keeps his car facing the SC170/Neil Rd. intersection. Those traveling on Neil Rd. usually think the stop sign is a yield sign or, because the used cars are parked so close to the stop sign and block your view, go a bit out into traffic because they can’t see and end up doing a California" roll type stop at the sign. I’ve seen this cop stop many cars past this intersection giving out running the stop sign tickets… "
