Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Speed Traps

If you come into Mount Pleasant from Awendaw on US 17 South, the speed limit changes from 60 to 55mph, ususally when you get close to the Berkley Electric Co-op, you will come around that curve right after the 55mph change and there will either be a solid white or black camaro sitting in the median as you come around the curve, giving you no time to react..BEWARE! Tickets set me back 138 bucks.

Have seen officers with hand-held radar on the Cooper R. bridge who radio to an awaiting crusier.

I-526 Westbound before Bridge going to Daniel Island, use extreme caution, they hide behind bushes like the cowards they are.

Look for two unmarked cars…one is a white sedan looking very ordinary till the blue light goes on! The other is a black sportscar, hardly thought of as an unmarked police car. Both are on the Boulevard but can be seen at times in other areas of the City.

They are everywhere, most of the time they are not even in there cars, they stand with the radar guns behind bushes and jump out at you.
