Smyrna, Tennessee Speed Traps

As you pass the Hiway 102 on ramp west bound coming into Smyrna, the speed limit drops from 55mph to 45. As you pass under the overpass, there is usually a policeman sitting in a church parking lot just off the road on the right clocking all the westbound traffic coming into town. At night they usually have their marker lights on the car lit.

the road is 4 lane and wide open. the speed limit there is 40mph, and they watch it like a hawk. take care when driving anywhere in smyrna. I’ve seen road blocks on many side streets for "just checking".
