There are two major traps to worry about in this stretch. The first is the entire school zone — APD is using LIDAR to enforce the 35MPH limit, usually in the morning. At night, they frequently park in the driveway of the Senior Citizen Activity Center and target cars in the northbound lane. Normally, it’s a marked patrol unit and they’re using instant-on K-band radar.

Speed limit is 45 MPH and officers sit on the side of the road and routinely clock drivers doing 65+
9000 – 10000 block South First St
Officers run radar in the afternoon between 3:30pm – 4:30pm specifically targeting the students from Akins HS. Officers sit in the median or on the side of the road an stand outside their cars and radar both North and South bound traffic
