Plano, Texas Speed Traps

Marked Police Cruiser sits on a reverse slope (mostly hidden from view) in west-bound left lane turn cutout facing West to trap oncoming eastbound traffic coming from Coit. Seen on mornings during rush hour and evenings after dark with just parking lights on. Speed limit is 40 mph here but increases to 45 mph as one continues eastbound. Most traffic moves from 48 to 50 mph.

after turning onto springcreek from parker, about 4 cops work together to clock everyone and walk out onto the road to stop you. they like picking off the Plano East students, so they are out there between 12:00 – 2:00pm.

Heading north from Spring Creek on Ohio, cops usually camp out right behind the brick wall on the east side of the road. There is a large field in front of the wall and a neighborhood behind the wall. They usually have one car and maybe a person or two on foot to flag cars in. Be careful because it’s just natural to take the street at about 40-45 because it is open, wide, and not particularly busy. The limit is only 35, and they’re tough about it.

Plano Police will sit in the northwest corner parking lot prtty well concealed by a wall & some trees. They will tag you while coming over the hill from Ohio & flag you down to pull into the parking lot for a ticket. I’ve seen them there several times. Usually a couple squad cars & a couple motorcycle cops.
