Campbell Road near Waterview Parkway

Richardson, TexasJul 19, 20070 Comments

One officer sits in an alleyway at the crest of a hill as you take Campbell east from Waterview Pkwy. The alleyway sits just over the crest of the hill, so when you see the officer, if you are speeding you have already been caught. Fairly heavy enforcement, especially during the school year. Aug-Dec and Jan – May. Sometimes, in the same area, UTD police officers will monitor from another alleyway located across the street catching westbound traffic moving towards Waterview. UTD will write tickets for 1 mph over, Richardson will write for 3 over.

US Highway 75 near North of Campbell Street

Richardson, TexasJul 07, 20070 Comments

People going North from Campbell speed up to get onto 75 and people coming off of 75 don’t slow down as they exit. In either case they catch anyone going over 40 (posted limit) by hiding on a little turnout just North of the train station.

75 Expressway near Renaissance Hotel / Dart Station

Richardson, TexasJun 07, 20070 Comments

Several motorcycle cops sit just past the Dart Station on the right. They have a long clear shot down the service road to clock you going over the posted 45 MPH. They can flag you into the Econo Lodge hotel parking lot and right up ticket after ticket. Also to mix it up some they will move down to the AT&T building ocassionally. Its a very long exit & drive along the service road so its easy to want to speed to get to the next intersection.
(Expressway 75 Service Road NB before Renner Road)
