Southlake, Texas Speed Traps
Kimball Road between 114 and Dove Road.
In this one mile stretch of road the patrol car will sit in the parking lot of the union hall about 1/2 mile north of 114 usually shooting radar at the north bound traffic. Speed limit is 30 and they mean it.
Randol Mill from Southlake Blvd to Dove Rd.
ATTENTION! The Southlake PD is located at the intersection of Randol Mill and Southlake Blvd! Their motor pool is located on Dove Rd., East of Randol Mill. The posted speed limit on Randol Mill is 30 Mph. I drive this road everyday. Usually the Police units are traveling between these two locations. It’s very easy to speed here, and even easier to get caught with the high number of Police Traffic.
Coventry Manor Subdivision
this poor subdivision has been in the middle of it since it opened 5 years ago. People drive 40 to 50 miles an hour with kids playing in their yards. the city need to open another road to alow traffic to flow better.
S Carroll from Contintental to Southlake Blvd
Afternoon 3 hour School Zone at 20 MPH with little or no students in sight – then a continuation of 30 MPH on a new road with few cross streets. More cops in Southlake than the city can support without extreme speed trap extortion.
City admits in newspaper to ticketing to generate funds to create more jobs. The cops really like the teenagers who of course are fearful and don’t know their rights. Unfortunatley the cops are ticketing the local voters who are going to oust the present council. Virtually no crime in city.
SH 114 at Sabre Communications
White Ford Expedition of Southlake Police travels in opposite direction of you and radios ahead, or hops median. Speed Limit is 55 MPH on 114 through Southlake and Trophy Club.
