This one officer known as the Barney Fife of Waverly, will write tickets for distances of less than .3 tenths of a mile. If you are from out of State, be careful, this officer takes great joy in writing erroneous speeding tickets.

Coming in to Waverly, Virginia on 460 (either direction)you go from 55 to 35 in about 100 yards. This particular officer (this one guy is the only one participating in this scam, aside from the local judges) will be sitting at New Square Market and he will pull you, he will give you a ticket, and he will treat you like the antichrist. Be very careful, he doesn’t hesitate.
