4 lane highway with 45 MPH Speed limit after having 55 MPH on 2 lane stretch..Local Police hide behind intersection to monitor traffic….Minimum Fines are $150 if you don’t contest.
State Highway 16/39 near RR crossing Crossing
Gauley Bridge PD patrols this stretch of state rt 16/39 where the speed limit suddenly drops from 55 to 25. Watch out, you will not see them until it’s too late. Pity the poor out-of-stater who gets nailed by these cops, fines are steep. Slow down the instant you cross the railroad tracks (westbound) as you enter "town".
gauley Road
Coming into gauley right past the state police headquarters.
There are constant signs that say 45mph then switch to 50mph constantly the whole time traveling through gauley into the town of montgomery.
State Route 60
the speed limit drops from 55 to 45 and I was clocked at 48 and fined 120.00 within sight of the 45 mph sighn.
