San Jose, California Speed Traps
Corner of Via Cordura, and Avenida Grande, 95139
Motorcyclist police officer in the shade of trees (difficult to see on sunny days) using laser speed gun. Standing on Vía Cordura, and pulling people over on Avenida Grande.
East on Pruneridge Ave past Valley Fair before Bellerose
lidar catches you going downhill under an overpass for maximum effect. 2 cops to motion you over. All computerized, 5 minutes from motion to signature, I’ll bet they make 10 grand today. All this while violent crime is soaring in SJ.
N Jackson Ave/Mckee Rd
Motor cops often go around and give people tickets for speeding in school zone (when there is not a single student around.) I just got a ticket last month, ridiculous.
US-101 Southbound near Story Road
CHP off on the shoulder behind the pillars, using lidar to catch speeders on Southbound 101 where Story Road overpass goes over the freeway. Seen on some Saturday mornings.
23rd and Taylor St
Motorcycle cop with lazer checking drivers coming down the 101 overpass. It’s a 30 zone. On the other side of the freeway the speed limit is 40.
