Access Road near Clairmont Road   Atlanta, Georgia

The I-85 Northbound access road between Clairmont Road and Shallowford Road is a largely empty stretch of nice 2 lane road with very limited access. Much of this stretch of road is built along concrete sound barrier walls. There is no 'public safety' issue here, as it's non-residential along the sound barier walls and I never see pedestrians. Dekalb cops on motorcycles using laser guns catch unsuspecting -- and in my case, infrequent -- drivers by total surprise. I was nailed for the crime of doing 63 in a 45 ($160). Meanwhile, 100 feet above us on I-85, there were hundreds of cars buzzing by at 85 MPH with zero arrests. Talk about selective enforcement! I only drive this access road occasionally to avoid the madness of I-85. From now on, believe me I'll stick to I-85 which is the 'Autobahn' with no speed limit. Safety in numbers!

Sheridan Road near Briarcliff rd Road   Atlanta, Georgia

intersection sheridan road and briarcliff road on sheridan before the light turning onto briarcliff. you can come down the hill on sheridan at the posted speed 25 miles with your brakes on and still manage to get a ticket [for in my case 18 miles over the limit costing you 281.00]you naturally aren't speeding but the hill on sheridan as you pass the health club and executive park is very steep not to your advantage.... usually there everyday this is a reall money maker for the quota

Interstate 75 near Interstate 285   Atlanta, Georgia

Starting on 75S past the 285 junction, GSP will begin clocking traffic. I waited 2 months before adding this as a trap and it is still going on so I'll add it. I call him the lone trooper. He is the same person, I've memorized him by now. He is there often and will clock right from 285 and move down to west paces ferry road. Then drive up and repeat. Basically he will pull someone over, write them up and stay in the same spot. Clock the next person, drive the whatever feet it takes to pull them over and stay there for the next victim. So and so until he reaches W Paces. From then on Atlanta PD will pick up. Amazing. Said person is stationed at the chastain troop and I have also seen him nail people on 75S around the marietta area as he drives down to the 285 interchange. But his favourite spot is the merge with 285, right where the HOV lane begins. You can't miss it as you will notice traffic slowing right at that spot... Tolerance is right around 80mph... speed limit is 55. He uses laser and radar.

Clairmont Road near Dresden Drive   Atlanta, Georgia

Just north of Dresden Drive on Clairmont - as you pass Peachtree Dekalb Airport there is usually a Motorcycle Cop (or two) with hand held radar guns positioned in a shaded area about 100 yards past the Library. They haven't nailed me yet but I've witnessed many others.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
