Exit 71, 85 North in College Park   College Park, Georgia

April 6, 2012 - Motorcycle cops sitting in this area looking to nab people in the transition zone from 70, 65, to 55. I was probably the slowest guy in the middle lane and somehow I was picked out - new red camry rental most likely the reason. Going 69 in a 55. This is a classic speed trap. My ticket was $145.

I-285 Expressway near Exit Number 62   College Park, Georgia

I am suprised that this isn't already on here. My friend told me about this site and I figured I would check it seeing that there is ALWAYS a College Park H.E.A.T. car on Interstate 285 East and West. I travel this Interstate every day and I usually know to slow it down when you get near Riverdale Rd exit. I have made the mistake to come through there at 70 to 75 mph and they didn't come after me so I guess they are looking for higher speeds. I am not going to take the chance seeing that it is a 55 mph zone! They always have a car pulled over in this area so be careful.

Interstate 85 North/South near Camp Creek Parkway   College Park, Georgia

College Park H.E.A.T. units will get you with Laser at all times of the day. I noticed that they have HEAT cars on day and night schedules so beware. Also, they are getting pretty serious about the move over law. Don't buzz a cop while they have someone pulled over. It will hurt your pocket and give you points on your license. I hear that you can be fined up to $500 also. I saw new signs on 85 North warning about the law so this means that they are probably going to be pulling everyone over for the move over law. It is simple to avoid, just get over one lane or slow down below the speed limit and you should be fine. If you rock their car as you go by I am sure you will regret it. Be safe everyone!

Camp Creek Parkway near Hartsfield-Jackson Airport   College Park, Georgia

The area from I-285 all the way to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is a speed trap. Also at the corner of Camp Creek and Conely rd (leaving the airport) is an area clearly marked no u-turn, which drivers regularly violate. Dont do it. The police sit and wait right around the curve behind the trees to get u if u do. I drive this route and see it all the time. So watch your speed and obey all signs. East point and College Park police both patrol this 3 mile stretch and are always hungry for action it seems.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
