Crystyl Ranch Drive and Fire Station   Concord, California

The lower part of Crystyl Ranch Drive is a long, downhill two lane, 35mph road with no residences or businesses- just open spaces on either side. Motorcycle cops periodically hide in the fire station bushes and shoot their radar up the hill. This targets only Crystyl Ranch residents as this is not a through street. I guess the nicest neighborhood in Concord meets profiling standards for the cash strapped City of Concord. Favorite times are 9-10AM on weekdays.

Cowell rd between Ygnacio Valley Rd and Treat Blvd   Concord, California

Heading Westbound you come off a steep hill and a 2nd subtle hill and nature's natural momentum will cause you to exceed the 35mph limit unless you ride your breaks hard all the way. Officers sit on side streets waiting to clock you.

Monument Blvd @ 680   Concord, California

If you're coming off the freeway (680 S. bound) and you're at the light that passes under the freeway and heads East on Monument, there has been a motorcycle or car cop hiding out there looking for red-light runners. Since it's a huge intersection, it's easy to enter the intersection when the light first turns yellow and if you don't run fast enough, it will turn red on you. Even though it's a long red, it's not worth the ticket!

Treat & Bancroft   Concord, California

I've seen a few cops hiding out on the NW corner of the intersection looking for red-light runners. They're usually hiding back several yards on the grass where it's hard to see them.

Buskirk @ Geraldine & Fair Oaks Drive (across from mall)   Concord, California

If you're going by the mall on Buskirk heading to Monument, there are two small lights you have to get through to get to Buskirk and Monument. There is a motorcycle cop waiting for you to run the last light before Monument! You can't see him until it's too late!
