I-90/MassPike Prudential Tunnel WESTBOUND
State cops in unmarked Crown Vics wait on the on-ramps and in the pull-out just before the end of the tunnel, using radar . Lighting in this tunnel is very poor, so the cops are well hidden. Tunnel is posted at 45, most traffic moving at 50-55. 10+mph over the limit will get you stopped and cited.
American Legion Highway @ Hwy. 203 (Morton St.)
It’s not a speed trap but BPD’S use of the CVEF (Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Force) they pull over any commercial vehicle and go over the vehicle totally, writing up everything! Commercial vehicle’s stay off this road, if possible. (Jamaica Plain/Boston, MA)
Jamaica Way – Riverway Northbound (US Rt. 1)
As you pass over the Rt. 9 overpass, off to the right you’ll find a State Trooper positioned to the right with laser. Captures vehicles coming off the btidge at more than 40 MPH
Mass Turnpike near Interstate I 90
In the EZ Pass/Fast Lane eletronic toll collection lanes the speed limit drops from 30 to 15 without any warning. State Troopers from E Troop and F Troop (no kidding the Troops are identified by letters) stand just beyond the toll plaza in the part of the road which has already begun to dip down as you enter the Ted Williams Tunnell.
VFW Parkway near West Roxbury Parkway
Traveling NE on VFW Parkway, just beyond West Roxbury Parkway, there is often police officers hiding behind a tree. They are usually there between 2pm and 6pm.
