Fresno, California Speed Traps
Shephard Avenue near Perrin Street
Westbound on Shephard between Perrin and Friant Road, an officer sits off of a side street(Colfax)and uses radar to catch "speeders". The only problem is that there is no posted speed limit for westbound traffic! A CHP officer told me that if there is no posted speed it reverts to 55mph, I’m assuming unless it is a special zone (School, residential, etc.)
W. Sierra Avenue near N. Colonial Street
Fresno PD Motorcycle cop regularly sits on side streets on Sierra between N. Maroa and N. Palm enforcing 25 MPH School Zone speed limit.
Audubon Drive near Hwy 41 Overpass
Frequently 1 or 2 Fresno PD motorcycle cops will sit at the bottom of the Audubon Dr. overpass, directly accross from Woodward Park. The catch people speeding as they pick up speed coming down the hill from the overpass. The cops will often stay there all day, giving out ticket after ticket.
