Redding, California Speed Traps
just a short way up Old Alturus from Winco after the Victor stop sign, they sit atop the hill on a side street, only a barley visible 35 mph sign at the bottom of the hill and get you anything over 40 mph
RPD always places an officer in the entrance of Upper Crust Pizza on Churn Creek Rd. The officer is trying to catch speeders heading south going to Enterprise High School. RPD is there every morning at about 7am.
On Lake Blvd. just west of Clay St. the road goes down on to a bridge and over the rail road tracks then up again. There is a motorcycle cope there usually on the west bound side on a small service road. There is one on both sides of the bridge. Sometimes there are several police cars on Clay St. to pick you up. This is a 40 mile speed limit. Just past this going west it is a 45 limit. I see him a lot in the morning and around noon.
Motorcycle cops hide (literally) in the bushes in a private driveway across from Edgewood. Speed limit through there is 30. Usually motorists coming from the west (Victor Ave., Costco, Winco area) are the ones they target.
Located on a cross street, between Highway 44 turnoff and Hartnell avenue on Shasta View Drive. Shasta View South of this area is posted at 40 MPH and the mentioned trap is faintly posted at Hartnell ave at 30 mph. Posting from the North coming from Hwy 44 is not existant so your up the creek. Enforced by Motorcycle an auto P.D.
