San Jose, California Speed Traps

Going west on Mabury Rd after you go over the 101 overpass, Mabury rd becoms Taylor St.Two motorcycle officers sit in driveways on the north side of the street about 200 feet from the bottom of the overpas,the speed limit to the top of the over pass is 35 MPH, but at the bottom of the overpass it become 25 MPH so naturally your accelerator is depressed a little harder to maintain speed over the overpass and by the time you reach the bottom you are doing between 40 and 45 MPH in a 25 MPH zone.Bingo they get you for 10 to 20 MPH over the limit

there are multiple stings in this area just west of saratoga ave. sometimes there is a single motorcyle cop sitting inbetween cars and other times there are multiple motorcycle cops working as teams. they hang out near the mitsuwa/strawberry park shopping center. its a 35 mph zone.

southbound 101 just before the blossom hill exit there is a motorcycle cop on the left hand apron standing with a radar and a couple cars ready to roll if a speeding violation is observed.

Speed trap on Saratoga Ave heading north between Stevens Creek blvd and Kiely Blvd. About 3 cops stopping pretty much every other car.

If your are heading north on leigh ave just before you come up to the gas station on san carlos st and leigh ave there will be a motorcycle officer on your right behind a tree and fence. He is very difficult to see because he or she is in the shadows of the trees and when you get to this point the street suddenly expands and he or she can easialy park his or her motorcycle in this area. The speed limit on this street is 25 mph it is not a long street so it will not delay you any if you followed the speed limit law.
