San Jose, California Speed Traps
Blossom Hill Road near Poughkeepsie Road
This applies to westbound Blossom Hill road. After you crest the Monterey Road overpass, a team of SJPD motorcycle officers are there routinely working instant-on laser. They team up by the gas station there and routinely have a field day. It’s easy to speed, going down hill and there is very little chance to slow down. I got nabbed here, so be on the lookout.
Branham Road near Overpass
There are typically 3 SJPD on Motorcycles, and 2 SJPD in Cars, sitting in the Parking lot of the Der Wienerschnitzel at Branham and Pearl Ave’s… shooting either Radar or Laser with "instant-on" in both cases… just after you crest the hill from Narvaez heading towards Pearl Ave. I have also seen an SJPD with a Laser-Measurement device standing on the right side of Branham just after the 1st street after you crest the hill over HWY87. Don’t crest that hill at anything over 45MPH, and be ready to slow down!
Yerba Buena Road near US Highway 101
Police on motor bikes and in cars. They are on the side of Yerba Buena right after exiting from 101, going to Evergreen Valley College. They will pull over for any valid reasons from speeding to front licence plates. The speed limit is 35 mph.
Capitol Expressway near US Highway 101
