Saratoga, California Speed Traps
Allendale/West Valley College
Between West Valley and Quito, there are cops hiding in driveways and side streets. They like to get you right where the speed limit changes from 35 to 25, which occurs right as the road takes a dip.
Cox Avenue between Saratoga Ave, & Quito Rd
Santa Clara County Sheriff has contract with the City of Saratoga for enforcement. This part of Cox Avenue is posted 25 MPH heading east towards Quito Road. West of Saratoga Avenue going towards Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road, Cox Avenue is 35 MPH limit. Also sometimes the sheriff uses their low profile white Camaro for random speed enforcement. Saratoga has a very low crime rate and is an upscale community so the deputies are more diligent and meticulous. Just drive posted limits and obey signs. Also, no ‘souped up’ or modified exhaust cars, they will pull you over almost guaranteed.
