One, usually two, LAPD Motor Officers, park in the driveways near the appartments on the west side of the street between Saticoy Street and Sherman Way, closest to Sherman Way. The officers either hide in the driveways behind trees and cars, or even sometimes stand in the on the street by their parked motorcycles and aim north, catching vehicles coming southbound on Balboa. They play tag-team ticketing. They are there usually every day, sometimes all day, but usually during the PM rush-hour traffic times. This is right past where the lanes go from three lanes to two lanes and many cars speed up to get in front of other cars.

I am not sure if this is an authorized LADOT surveyed traffic zone (zoned for use of traffic measuring devices).

I’ve lived in this area for 20 years. There is always an officer on a motorcycle parked along the street in between cars on the left hand side along the condos/apartments. Sometimes in the driveway right after the gas station before it turns into houses on the right. Will cite for speeding if you travelling faster then traffic flow.
