Ventura, California Speed Traps

Ventura PD and Sheriff, both motorcycle and Black & White, will sit near the dead end of Grand Avenue, and pick off motorists on Moon Drive rolling through the stop sign, like ripe cherries off a fully laden tree.

Sitting directly across from RV Park hidden in shade and under eucalyptus trees is a CHP Officer ( I have video of it ) setting up on 2 directional traffic snipes towards town and towards unsuspecting (not me – I know of its fame) drivers passing Northbound on U.S. Hwy. 101. Can be seen there whenever they’re not at court or eating. Bold really.

A policeman is frequently waiting on his motorcycle, where the street curves. It is very easy to violate the speed limit on Loma Vista.

Westbound Olivas Park Rd, just past Palma. Motor using laser mid-day weekday.
