Hillsborough, Florida Speed Traps
Traveling Northbound on I-75, immediately after passing the exit for the Rest Area prior to exit 240, a series of white lines across the travel lanes are used for an aggressive random aircraft speed enforcement detail. It is done between 8am and 4pm randomly. The FHP ground units are waiting ahead in the median and the FHP pilot instructs them to write speeding tickets.
Occasionally they have a plane over I-4 around the McIntosh overpass and they’ll sit on the site of the entrance ramp waiting. It’s usually on a clear day for obvious reasons._
Four lane boulevard runs thruough Northdale subdivision speed limit is 45mph/ traffic usually runs about 50-55mph. It is a long boulevard with entrances to subdivisions. Penty of areas for the police to hide. The association of Northdale subdivision pays police to patrol the Blvd and give out tickets to speeders. You will see three to four tickets being given out daily. When school lights are flashing slow down to 25mph they love giving tickets then.
