Unmarked Dodge Charger, there are 2 speed limit signs say 45mph going northbound but the trooper will pull you over and claim that the left lane is 45 and the right lane (that merges into the left lane from Granada to the merge point) is 40mph. They will ticket you for the 40mph speed limit despite signs.

The speed limit is 45 MPH. There is a county sheriff that drives up and down the road looking to nab speeders. There is also a school zone for the middle school. The sheriff likes to sit in the median. There are people that still speed by him in the school zone when it is 25 MPH.

Typical radar set-up,irregular schedule, usually in the bushes near Ormond in the Pines Assisted Living Facility for northbound traffic. For the fast-moving traffic coming off Granada and heading south, the trap can generally be found just around the bend past Spring Meadow subdivision. The Ormond Beach P.D. will stop you up for anything and are known to pick on Seniors who do rolling stops out of the various communities in this section of highway. 2/27/2015
