Ormond Beach, Florida Speed Traps
State Highway 40 near US Highway 1
On Florida S.R. 40 about 1/4 mile west of U.S. 1, motor officers have been sitting on the sidewalk clocking traffic going east on U.S. 1 from the light at Orchard and US 1 (by the Friendlys/Office Depot). The speed limit drops just before this from 45 to 35. They sit near a tire store just west of the railroad tracks. This is a fairly new spot for them to use radar. They must have found they have a new jackpot.
John Anderson Road near Neptune Boulevard
Bike cop sits back in the trees right after the stop sign at Neptune & John Anderson(right where the speed limit changes from 35-25 going South). They are very very hidden and will walk out in front of your car to pull you over! Watch Out they have been there everyday lately.
Clyde Morris Boulevard near Spring Meadows Drive
Officer Sits in between a 35 and 40 MPH zone and clocks violaters traveling south on Clyde Morris BLVD. This is unfair!
Hand Avenue near US Highway 1
On Hand Ave. in between Nova and U.S.1, on the north side of hand ave there are usually 1-3 ormond bike cops sitting and running radar they use that whole stretch to hide in the shade….speed limit is 25, but used to be 30
John Anderson Drive near Royal Dunes Avenue
The cop parks his motorcycle either on Royal Dunes to catch passers-by on John Anderson or he parks on John Anderson near Royal Dunes pointed north to catch people travelling southbound. VERY hidden. Watch out!
