Heading west bound on Pinellas Bayway towards St. Pete Beach. AM traps near the intersection of 58th Street North and 38th Avenue North.
This is a 15 MPH School Crossing Zone after 8AM, and the officers will sit either east or west of this intersection monitoring the speeds of motorists.

I have also seen them between 49th and 58th Streets at night…

9th Avenue near 27 – 26th Street

Saint Petersburg, FloridaNov 14, 20060 Comments

Right past Circle K, on left hand side (while you’re driving east) on two to three side streets there are four to five cruisers waiting to catch speeders. There is always an officer standing by the High School (St. Pete) with a radar gun to catch as many speeders as possible. They also try to catch people not stopping for the “pedestrian”” waiting to cross @ the crosswalk. “

US Highway 275 near 54th Ave. Exit

Saint Petersburg, FloridaJul 21, 20060 Comments

The 54th Ave exit is a nice, comfortable, shady hole where the cops chronically sit, aiming radar up the hill at the northbound traffic. Top the hill and you are painted instantly. Do not keep up with the locals if you know what’s good for you.
