Veterans Expressway South at Ehrlich Entrance Ramp

Tampa, FloridaApr 08, 20100 Comments

Usually 2 troopers park under the shady trees right at the 60 mph sign on the right. This is located seconds after the entrance ramp at Ehrlich Road.
So watch out if you are stuck behind some slow vehicle, or waited long for the light, and want to give it the whip. They’re there!

Leeroy Selmon and Gandy

Tampa, FloridaApr 06, 20100 Comments

Trap is 1-2 cops sitting in median right as you turn the corner out of the ramp getting onto eastbound Leeroy Selmon expressway. They are pointed toward the westbound traffic. After I pass them I always flash my lights for all the oncoming traffic until I get to the first toll booths.

1-75 between Palmetto, Fla. to Tampa Fla.

Tampa, FloridaMar 25, 20101 Comments

This only can be described as a "Rolling Speed Trap". The Florida State Troopers know that MOST drivers do NOT know the NEW LAW : ….Drivers that are occuping a traffic lane next to police or emergency vehicals MUST either move over a lane (away from Emgcy. vehicals on shoulder) OR slow down to 20 MPH UNDER the posted speed limit. The troopers (6-8 cars) will work as a "pack" and once the first driver is stopped the other Troopers wait ahead of the Trooper that has his lights on and ticketing the first driver. Then ANY car traveling in the lane next to the officer writing the ticket (normally the right shoulder) that has NOT reduced his speed to 20 MPH UNDER the posted speed limit will get pulled over by the waiting "pack" Be SMART move over a lane and avoid a ticket as well as the officer some ROOM to work. I have personally wittnessed the "Pack" start north of Palmetto, Fla. and
issue tickets all the way to Tampa.
