Crosstown Lee Roy expressway
From Brandon to the Gandy exit, the cops will park in the medians. They back into a little corner and due to they way the road slopes, you don’t see them until you are right up on them. The speed limit is 65 until you pass the Ybor exit and it turns into 55. After the Downtown exit, you really need to watch for the cops in the medians.
Martin Luther King near Hillsborough River
If you are traveling west bound on MLK you will go over the bridge at the Hillsborough River. You will naturally pick up a little speed going down hill on the other side of the bridge and the revenuers (police) will be waiting for you. They’re in the parking lots of the businesses just over the bridge. The speed limit is 35 and I see people being pulled over on their way to work and all during the day. Don’t feed the police … it’s just a money game. Our houses are being broken into just blocks away while these bums drink coffee and hand out thousands of dollars in tickets.
