Dublin, Georgia Speed Traps
Entire Hillcrest Parkway from Veterans Blvd. to U.S. Hwy. 441S
Hillcrest is indeed a speed trap, but it is not just from Claxton Dairy to U.S. Hwy. 441S. It is the entire road from Veterans Blvd. to U.S. Hwy. 441S. It is correct that it is young cops with an attitude using the down hill speed. They only catch certain ones, depending on their status in the community.
Hillcrest Parkway between Claxton Dairy – 441 South
HEAT cars sit at the bottom of the hills on this hilly & curvy road where the speed increases as it goes down the hills. They shoot the speed at the down hill speed and then tack a little extra on; or either they have not calibrated their laser/radar. Most of these HEAT cops are young cops with an attitude. They especially watch for vehicles they have caught in the past and harass them. The charged speed is always higher than your speedometer reading. Beware!!
State Highway 16
Cops in the area of Dublin are out and about on Hwy 16 prior to the Dublin limits and entering fines for 20mph over are about 800$ can be fought in court (especially military) however they’re everywhere and the court is in a small town. 800$ for 20mph I had another 1 for 15mph same area 3 months prior it was 450$ be careful! or carry a military i.d. or Vietnam vet sticker!
Jefferson Street near Old Toomsboro Road
At the north end of Jefferson St. (US 441) right at the city limits, two Dublin H.E.A.T. cars were parked watching traffic in both directions. Why does Dublin need HEAT cars anyway? They are NOT a major Georgia city, nor are they near one!
US Highway 257 near US Highway 257
Between Dexter and Dublin. Especially from the interstate into Dublin. There are 4 or 5 new traffic lights and the law enforcement is really cracking down on speeders in this area. Please watch the speed limit signs!
