Woodstock, Georgia Speed Traps
Woodstock Parkway near Waffle King & Slapshots restaurants
Woodstock police routinely ticket individuals making a left turn onto Woodstock Pkwy for "failing to yeild the stop sign".
Woodstock Parkway near Ridgewalk Parkway
Since Woodstock has lowered speed limits on Main Street to a ridiculous 25 mph motorists are encouraged to use Ridgewalk Pkwy and Woodstock Pkwy as a "bypass" to downtown. This area is heavily patrolled by the Woodstock police and speed limits are inconsistent. In one area the speed limit signs are 35 and then 45 but the two signs are only 100 feet apart! Additionally, the Woodstock police routinely ticket individuals for "rolling stop sign" at the Waffle King and Slapshots restaurants where they sit and hide.
State Highway Downtown Woodstock near Main Street
Long stretch of Canton Highway (Woodstock Main Street) has reduced speed limit to 25 miles per hour.
State Highway 92 near Trickum Road
As you’re coming East on highway 92, cresting the hill right by the Dodge/Chrysler dealer, expect a cop to be watching you on the long downhill as you approach the First Baptist Church of Woodstock main entrance by neice road. I generally see a cop there with a car pulled over one out of four or five times I drive by.
Wade Green Road near State Route 92
Wade Green Rd from I-75 to Highway 92 is a four lane divided road with a speed limit of 35mph. Typical flow of traffic is 60-65mph. The road passes through 2 counties. In Cobb county, motorcycle cops will walk out into the road and direct you into a subdivision where 5-6 other cars are awaiting tickets. In Cherokee county, typically single officers will pull you over for driving with the flow of traffic. I have checked with DOT and no vehicle speed data surveys (85th percentile) have been done on this roadway.
