The police vehicle from which the laser is used is parked directly under the 6th avenue overpass as it watches vehicles traveling in an easterly direction on the H1 freeway.

As you come to the bottom of the long hill the officer is waiting in the last parking on the mauka (mountain side) with his laser pointing up the street. Be aware early morning and pau hana (after work) drivers!

State Highway Pali near Past Wyllie St. Onramp
(Pali Hwy – Town Bound)
HPD waits in the scenic lookout, that overlooks Nuuanu Cemetery (where the giant Pagoda stands).
Beware, because you don’t see them because there is a bend in the highway and trees.
Speed limit is 35 MPH in this section, which is hard to do because you’re driving downhill, and everyone else is speeding.

Pali Hwy, Kailua bound. On the rise between Pauoa Offramp and Wyllie St. Offramp.
Any time of day, HPD motorcycles are waiting on the rise, ready to tag you. Speed limit is 35 MPH in this section.

Kilauea Avenue near Hunakai Street
