Rt. 20, between McLean Blvd & Randall Rd.
As they are doing construction @ Rt. 20 & McLean, there’s a new unmarked State Police vehicle pulling over cars. It’s a dark, gun-metal gray pickup with a shell over the bed. It is parked on the west bound on ramp from McLean onto Rt. 20 and can’t be seen from Rt. 20 until too late.

Kane County Sherrif sits by the speed limit sign heading north, where it changes from 30mph to 45 mph. If you pick up speed before the 45mph sign, they pull you over.

State Route 20 near Rte 31
Route 20 always has speed traps. Going Eastbound. There is usually a cop sitting in the brush before rte 31, next to Elgin mental. Also, there is usally an officer sitting on the exit ramp of rte 25. It is difficult to see him. Going westbound, there is usally a cop sitting on the ramp from the Mcclean exit and right before Randall Rd. The rule of thumb on 20 is, if you see one cop, there are usally more, so be careful. They will also run random traps, off of 31, where the cops sit at the top of the bridge or in lawnchairs and radar. There is usually a long line of cars sitting of the ramp, waiting to pull you over!
