Higgins Road near State Route 53

If you are coming North bound on Route 53 and exit off to Higgins Road and make the left turn. Coming South bound on Route 53 exit Higgins and making a right onto Higgins. About a minute down the road on the left hand side there is a dark side street that cops sit at. It’s across from the car dealer on the right side. I get off work 5 days a week at 8:00p.m and on my way home almost everyday they are pulling people over. They sit in the dark with no lights on and on street lights around. So it is very hard to see them. I see many people pulled over every night on Higgins road before they get onto Route 53. Not exactly sure what the speed limit is it’s eather 35 or 40. But whatever it is be sure to go the speed limit anywhere on Higgins.

US Highway IL72–Higgins Road near Meacham Road

Schaumburg, IllinoisAug 16, 20050 Comments

In the summer months the Schaumburg PD likes to hide a radar gun in plain view near the Target Store at Meacham and Higgins along eastbound Higgins Rd. SPD will park a motorcycle unit on the _sidewalk_ in front of a light pole to obscure its outline. It’s easy to get caught given the 50 mph limit and the small size of the patrol unit. Stay to the left lanes to help obscure yourself, but that is no guarantee of escape.
