Schaumburg, Illinois Speed Traps

Road block, all cars. Entire length of Rt.62 in township usually east bound.

Numerous unmarked cars, and motorcycles in parking lot shoot radar at a speed change zone on curve from 35 MPH to 25 MPH.

When traveling east bound on Golf Road about a mile past Roselle Road there is a side street right where Portillos and a bridal shop are. They hide in there 3 to 4 times a week in the AM rush hour. When they are there 90% of the time I get Laser the other 10% is usually KA band. Be careful their tough.

Radar car sits on Lexington facing Rt. 72 clock the east bound traffic after you pass Mecham Rd. Chase cars pull over cars that have been clocked. Usually 2 – 3 Chase cars. Lexington is approx 1/4 mile east of Mecham.

Radar or laser cars park in the lot of Toys ‘R Us or any of the shopping center lots on the south side of Golf Road, close to the local DMV office. These are probably unmarked, as I have never seen a marked car but often see unmarked cars pulling drivers over. The officer in my case was driving an unmarked patrol car, and advised that Schaumburg has a strict enforcement policy. It seems that there is more enforcement during the morning commute than during the evening one.
