US40 through town

Plainfield, IndianaJul 20, 20140 Comments

The posted speed limit of 30mph from Dan Jones Rd all the way west to the Dairy Queen is ridiculous. It is nothing more than a means of causing people to ride their brakes the whole way through town (increasing the chances of an accident) while giving the police a reason to pull people over. 40mph would be much more reasonable, but the Plainfield PD is not interested in safety – only money.

Entire City of Plainfield

As a retired police official from Washington, I am embarrased by the Plainfield PD. The entire city is under seige by this revenue enhancing band of fools.

Just look into their patrol cars, they are all eqipped with the latest "State of the Art" speed detection devices. No small police department in the country could afford equiptment like this…..unless it’s specifically being funded by fines collected.

Now don’t get me wrong, traffic enforcement is an important job. Just how important can it be when 100% of it’s officers are engaged in it 100% of the time
In my opinion these "Officers" wouldn’t make a pimle on a real cops ass!

This is a quick transition to 30 mph speed limit even though US-40 (Main street) is a major road. I see police stopping people almost every other day. I’ve heard people being stopped for going 5mph over the limit.
